Woke Rhymes with Hope (Pre-Order)

Through the pages of Woke Rhymes with Hope, we dance, swim, love, and soar as Brenardo Taylor urges us to live to the fullest. Herein, he has produced a truly original book of poetry, in the mellifluous, musical sound that only he, "The Sing-Song Poet," can reproduce on paper or in voice. Clever rhyme, alliteration, homophones and homonyms, and verbs that work as nouns and vice-versa all embrace his faith in God, quest for truth, honor, freedom, answers to the mysteries of life, and his place for survival in the world. Despite moments of joy and heartbreak, the poet sings while referencing some great songwriters: Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, and Paul McCartney. In fact, tempo—allegro, vivace, lento—is felt deeply in these poems, and music is in all of them. Read them and hear Brenardo’s song.
