PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New book guides new converts in newfound faith and higher biblical living
SUITLAND, Md. — During the recent papal visit to the United States, there was a sense of excitement in the air that proved to be infectious. The spirit of godly love and goodwill was made manifest through Pope Francis. A week after his visit and for 15 years now, the spirit lives on through Laurel resident and evangelist Elo Hannah Akonawe, who encounters people in the Washington-area streets—including atheists and faith-based individuals alike—and realizes the need to provide sustenance for souls that seek spiritual guidance. Her newest book, Nourishment for the Newborn in Christ, speaks to the hearts of Christian converts as well as longstanding Christians who want to help them along their journey of higher, biblical living.
For Akonawe, the chapters are more than messages written to the masses in search of hope and understanding. She has experienced the common challenges to victorious living, keeping the faith, knowing
God’s love and finding a good church in which to serve. Through her examples and by using key passages from the Bible, she poses solutions to obstacles that hinder newborns in Christ.
Readers will also discover the author’s personal journal pages in which Akonawe records candid thoughts and attitudes about religion as she questions—without judgment—atheists, devout and non-devout
Christians, Catholics, Muslims and Jehovah’s Witnesses. In fact, Akonawe admits that her direct street approach often prompts people to believe that she is a Jehovah’s Witness.
“Did Jesus only ask Jehovah’s Witnesses to witness in the streets?” Akonawe asks. “The Bible says that we should go into the world to preach the gospel to every creature.”
Akonawe, a rehabilitation counselor who completed her Master of Education and Human Development at The George Washington University in 2007, is a certified evangelist under internationally acclaimed Benny
Hinn via the Signs and Wonders School of Ministry. She is committed to helping others understand the importance of a relationship with God via meetings, social media, and blogging. Akonawe journeyed to the
Holy Land in 2009 and founded Evangel Prayer Ministry in 2011.
Nourishment for the Newborn in Christ (also available in Spanish) is her fourth book, all of which receive warm reviews and excitement by people of various faiths.
“I’m a Rabbi but I agree with everything you said,” writes Bernie M. online via her Facebook page. “I was really inspired by it all.”
